Yes. Growth plan includes a 30-day free trial for fleets of up to 20 vehicles. We ship SEM-1 hardware to you at no cost during the trial period. If you cancel, return the hardware in the prepaid mailer.
Yes. Plan upgrades take effect immediately; you are billed pro-rata for the remainder of the billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next billing renewal. There are no fees for switching plans.
All telemetry is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256. Your data is stored in logically isolated databases — no other operator can access it. Enterprise customers can choose their data residency region (EU, Africa, or Asia-Pacific). We have been penetration tested by Cure53 and are Kenya Data Protection Act compliant.
SEM-1 works with any EV that has an OBD-II port (most EVs from 2018 onward). For Africa-market models without standard OBD-II — including Bajaj RE Electric, TVS iQube, and Zembo Pikipiki — we supply a CAN tap harness at no extra cost. Contact us if you have a model not on the list; we add new vehicle profiles regularly.
Hardware installation takes under 10 minutes per vehicle — no mechanic needed. The dashboard populates battery baselines within 2 hours of the first drive. Full predictive scoring activates after 7 days of data collection per vehicle.
Yes. SEM-1 stores up to 72 hours of data locally when offline. When connectivity returns — even on a 2G network — the buffer syncs automatically. We have deployed in rural Kenya and northern Nigeria where 4G coverage is limited.
